German dolls: Highly-acclaimed, classic collectibles
We carry classic Schildkröt dolls from Germany. Schildkröt has been producing dolls since 1896 and is the oldest doll company in Germany; today, they continue to produce beautiful, high-quality products (made from phthalate-free vinyl!)
Schildkröt dolls are a treasure for children, adults and serious doll collectors. Timeless, elegant and well-constructed, these dolls will bridge generations and unite the young and old. We carry the new Schildkröt Artist Dolls and Play Dolls, as well as the traditional Classic Collection, carefully-crafted replicas of the same beautiful dolls from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Anker stones: Quality architectural building block toys for all ages
The traditional Anker stone building set originated in Germany in 1880. Today, the manufacturers at Anker continue to make high-quality, educational building block toys for children—and adults—of all ages. Anker stones are 100% natural, consisting of a unique blend of quartz sand, chalk and linseed oil. These are classic heirloom toys that can be passed from one generation to the next.
Adults too will rejoice in these Anker stone building sets and architectural toys that stimulate structural awareness and reward aesthetic enterprise.
Classic wooden toys: Intriguing, charming children's educational toys
We carry the Kellner Steckfiguren, a truly classic wooden toy with a limited production finally available in Canada!
The Kellner Steckfiguren story started in the 1920s, when passionate toymaker Georg Kellner Jr. patented a removable rubber hose or “connector” that could join wooden blocks and shapes. From here, multiple “stick figures” or “Steckfiguren” could be created.
Children and adults alike will love these wooden characters that can be pulled apart and “plugged” back into each other and can be assembled in a variety of imaginative ways.
Interactive figurines like “croak the frog” and “squeal the mouse” will bring a smile to everyone—you’ll want to collect them all!
